Music

Hollywood actor Robert Pattinson has refused to compose a soundtrack for his flick Twilight, as he wants to keep music as a back up career. Although The Twilight actor, who is a talented composer, pianist and guitarist, wrote two songs for the original flick (‘Never Think’ and ‘Let Me Sign’), helping them to top the American album charts, he is not ready to do the same for the sequel.

“I really didn’t want it to look like I was trying to cash in. Music is my back up plan,” Contactmusic quoted Rob, as telling OK! Magazine.

Meanwhile the rock band Paramore has been signed up to pen the title track for the flick.

Who’s hotter? The Jonas Brothers, or Robert Pattinson in “Twilight”?

One thing’s for sure: Together, they could rule the teenage girl world.

The Jonas Brothers talked to MTV about being involved in the “New Moon” soundtrack.  They’d even love to write a song especially for the new film.

“The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great,” Nick Jonas said.

2969289023_94d04ac783Well he already has been seen around town with Joe Jonas’ GF Camilla Belle and now, come to find out, he can write and sing his own music too. Hmmm… looks as though the JoBros might have a little competition?? Robert Pattinson could easily make his way to a music career. I’m sure his fans would be thrilled if he were to put out an album and compete with the Jonas Brothers number 1 singles. Who would win that competition I wonder?

Robert’s Twilight bosses even including a couple of his songs he wrote in the vampire movie.

The English actor told MyParkmag: “I did them (the songs) before the movie. But it’s amazing how they fit. Like I would never have said, I really want to get my songs in the movie.

“I thought it was kind of funny. There’s a song which two friends of mine wrote in about three minutes and I sang it in my old apartment.

I kind of made it into a song and now it’s in this big movie. I thought it was kind of amusing.

“I had to sing it to the video of my face (laughs). It was the most bizarre experience, but I think it really helps the scene. It makes the scene better.”

Perry Farrell and his wife, Etty, contacted MTV News this week, eager to debut the video for the song ”Go All the Way (Into the Twilight)” with the one-and-only home of ”Twilight”  Tuesdays. Although Twilighters probably know the song’s lyrics by heart at this point, wait until they get a load of this sensual clip, which has the duo dragging the vampire tale into decidedly NC-17 territory.

The big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s sexy-vampire saga could have gone the classic heart-of-darkness route (Bauhaus, where art thou?). Instead, they’ve tapped Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor behind The O.C.Grey’s Anatomy, andGossip Girl, and she aptly applies her zeitgeisty sensibility to the Twilight soundtrack, pulling exclusive cuts from acts like Paramore (singer Hayley Williams is a confessed superfan of the series) and MuteMath.
