The marketing powers behind Twilight on Monday gave what their adoring fans at MTV have apparently craved for more than two months now: Dolls. For, like, another movie or something.

Twilight obsessed MTV News staffer enjoyed the privilege of opening the figurines of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan — at least until that privilege dissolved into a kind of chore, mired in disappointment over the un-Pattinson-y hair, the un-Stewart-y blouse and the glaring lack of a Porch-Bong Accessory Kit. We’ve included the video below in the spirit of customer service, but really, we know you could take or leave the prototypes. Just as long as the process shapes up in time for a reasonable approximation of bloodthirsty Dakota Fanning this fall, America will withhold its judgment.

Not sure how great of a movie this will be (especially in 3-D). I remember the old ‘My Bloody Valentine’ and it was awful! I am a huge horror freak though, so of course I will watch it. Here’s a sneek peek from the movie.

In this interview from Comic-Con 2008, Taylor Lautner says he has been preparing for his potential role in New Moon by “hitting the gym five times a week–I’m cranking out, overdosing on protein, i’ve put on 7 pounds in 2 months.” It is still unclear whether his hard work will pay off, though he does note “I don’t know what they’re going to do about the height issue, we’ll see,” and laughingly suggests “cheat shoes”.

These days, ”Twilight”fans are so freaked out that you’d think James the nomad was on to their scent.

Even though their beloved vampire film keeps taking in big bucks at the box office, director Catherine Hardwicke has been yanked off the sequels, and names of potential successors are jumping around faster than Edward Cullen on a deer hunt.

As the future of the franchise hangs in the balance, and the fanbase splinters into various camps, we’ve set aside some cool news that should hopefully return a smile to the faces of Stephenie Meyer fans. It’s part three of what would become Hardwicke’s last in-depth interview as the “Twilight” captain. Following on the heels of her discussing record-setting box-office numbers and ”New Moon” hopes, we bring you brand-new details about Hardwicke’s final “Twilight” effort: the much-anticipated DVD.

Looks as though we might get some more dialogue from Kellan in the sequel New Moon, which is slated to start filming in March of 2009.

“I love everything that’s come out of it,” he said of his role as Emmett Cullen in the “Twilight” series. “It’s really unique to do a project and not have any expectations of it, and then have it do as well as it did. It’s amazing to be a part of it.”

Looking to the future, he said, “We’re doing ‘New Moon’ in March, and currently I’m doing a movie called ‘Warrior,’ which is my movie, which is really nice. It’s a coming-of-age story, and it’s nice to have ‘Twilight’ open doors where I can front-lead a movie.”

The British heart-throb appeared on Ellen DeGeneres and stated that he has trouble in the dating department. He says that he is single and would like to be in a relationship but, ““No one else seems to want to get into a relationship with me”.  They also talked about his hair and everyone’s fascination with it. It looks a though he could use a comb in my opinion, but hey, that’s me. Check out the video.

The big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s sexy-vampire saga could have gone the classic heart-of-darkness route (Bauhaus, where art thou?). Instead, they’ve tapped Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor behind The O.C.Grey’s Anatomy, andGossip Girl, and she aptly applies her zeitgeisty sensibility to the Twilight soundtrack, pulling exclusive cuts from acts like Paramore (singer Hayley Williams is a confessed superfan of the series) and MuteMath.
