Twilight star Robert Pattinson is way more attractive to girls thanHarry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe. At least that’s what Radcliffe, 19, says about his former Harry Potter co-star Rob, 22.

In 2005, Daniel worked with Pattinson when Rob played Cedric Diggory inHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. At the time, the self-deprecating Rob stated in several interviews that Radcliffe was cooler and more attractive to the opposite sex than he was.

“[Daniel Radcliffe is] just so far superior to me in terms of desirability,” Pattinson said in 2005. “If I was Katie [Leung, who played Harry Potter's love interest Cho Chang in Goblet of Fire], I would definitely go out with [Daniel] because he’s rich and famous, and I’m not really…I think Dan could steal anyone from me. If I were a girl, I’d pick Dan.”

Recently, Radcliffe had the chance to respond to Rob’s comments in this exchange fromTheDailyBeast:

  

Question: “Have you contacted your co-star Robert Pattinson to give him any advice about his own sudden fame because of the Twilight films? He was once quoted as saying that if given a choice between himself and you, that girls would choose you every time.”

Daniel Radcliffe: “I don’t have his number, so haven’t spoken to him. But I can safely say that his insisting that girls would choose me over him that they would not. That they do not. He is much prettier and can be much more charming…And he can do that thing of being sultry and sexy…Rob can just sort of stand there and look at something and start to smolder. And I just can’t do that.”

Rob also recently commended his former Harry Potter co-stars Daniel, Rupert Grint, 20, and Emma Watson, 18, for having turned out so well-adjusted despite the pressures of fame and overnight stardom.

“The Harry Potter people…are still very, very normal and sane,” says Pattinson. “I think it’s because they just ignored the surrealness of their lives from an outside perspective and live their lives normally. They didn’t treat anyone any differently and didn’t treat themselves differently. And they’ve ended up being completely fine.”

Meanwhile, Rob—who has been relaxing in London since Dec. 22—will begin filming New Moon (the sequel to Twilight) in March. The movie will be shot back-to-back with Eclipse (2010), the third installment in the best-selling Twi book series.

New Moon comes out in November 2009.

 “Parts Per Billion,” will be the first film that the 22-year-old leading man will shoot as a certified star.

“It’s an ensemble story,” explained Rosario Dawson, who will also appear in the film alongside Olivia Thirlby and Dennis Hopper when it begins shooting next month. “[The script features several] different storylines that are going on.”

Directed by newcomer Brian Horiuchi, “Billion” tells the story of three couples (including Pattinson and Thirlby) dealing with the same reality-shaking event that threatens to tear them apart. Pattinson will shoot “Billion” before he reports for duty on the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon,” and the film is expected to be released in late 2009/early 2010.

“I don’t have a relationship to him in the film,” Dawson said of Pattinson. “So we never meet. But we’re all within the same group of people, and the same city of people, that are responding to a life-threatening situation.”

The “Sin City” and “Clerks II” star (who will next be seen in the Will Smith drama “Seven Pounds”), also revealed to us that she’s been keeping a close eye on the “Twilight” phenomenon – and her future co-star – as both have spent the last few weeks running amok on the world of pop culture. “I haven’t met him yet, but I’m really looking forward to it,” she explained, adding another reason why she’s a newly-minted “Twilight” fan herself: “Catherine Hardwicke is someone I really adore, and have been casual friends with over the years.”

The former Harry Potter star has been catapulted into the highest stratum of teen heartthrobdom after landing the lead role of Edward in the new teen vampire movie – but while he can have his pick of women now, he told Closer magazine recently that he finds himself attracted to the slightly odd ones.

He explained: “The stuff I find attractive in women, I always regret finding attractive.

“I always like a kind of madness in a woman, and when they are really, really strong. And they’re the worst – mental, strong women!

“But I like it when they hate me right from the beginning.”
