This is a great step in the right direction to soothe fan uncertainty, and points towards a responsive team at work on the New Moon movie.

I don’t know about you, but I am a huge fan of the movie ‘Interview With the Vampire’. I loved the way it was filmed and everything about that movie. Director Neil Jordan did a wonderful job staying true to the book as well. What are some of your suggestions as to who should direct the new movie??
Alfonso Cuaron (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) could be another option, though I’m not sure Summit Entertainment care enough to spend the money to get him. It seems they would rather hurry this production along and make the oodles of money off of it than it to be a quality production film.

They are pissed off and have no problems letting Summit Entertainment know about it! They had agreed to do the next two movies, assuming it was going to be with Catherine Hardwicke directing them. Kristen Stewart is particularly pissed off telling a close source, “”I sure hope they don’t f*ck it up,” referring to New Moon.
The actors’ reactions suggests more was at issue in Hardwicke’s firing than her temperament and directing style. There is a sense that the Summit, previously a small, struggling studio, is too eager to rush out a Twilight sequel in a move to cash in on the current Twi craze. Sources say Stewart, 18, and Pattinson, 22, believe Hardwicke, 53, was more interested in slowing the process down to properly develop the next installment.
